Except as specifically permitted by this Section or any other applicable city code, exterior storage is not allowed.
For property zoned or used for a single-family or two-family residence, exterior storage is permitted under the applicable provisions of the Unified Development Ordinance or the Overland Park Municipal Code. - 4.Items such as barbeque grills, flag poles, play equipment and lawn or patio furniture are allowed and need not be screened.
- 5.Any exterior storage related to a business is prohibited.
- 6.The exterior storage of permitted items shall occupy no more than 20% of the allowable outside storage area.
For property not zoned or used for a single-family or two-family residential, exterior storage is limited to that which is permitted under the applicable provisions of the Unified Development Ordinance or the Overland Park Municipal Code.
Provided, however, the provisions of this section shall not apply to those properties annexed into the City by either Ordinance No A-2367 or Ordinance No. A-2719 that has a zoning designation based on the Johnson County Zoning Regulations.
