Title 6 - Animals

6.13.010 Legislative Findings

The Governing Body finds that in order to provide for the allowance of chickens upon single and two-family residential properties in the City, or upon an agricultural property of less than 3 acres being used for residential purposes, there is a need to regulate and set minimum standards for the keeping of such chickens in order to mitigate any detrimental impact to neighboring properties and to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the City.
