5.51 Oil & Gas

5.51.030 Definitions.

The following terms as used in this chapter shall, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, have the respective meanings herein set forth. These definitions supplement those contained in Section 1.04.010.

To the extent that these definitions may conflict with those contained in 1.04.010, these definitions shall control:

  1. 33.
    Operator- Shall mean the person, whether owner, lessee, or independent contractor, who is actually in charge and in control of the drilling, maintenance, operation or pumping of a well or lease.
