Section R201.5 of the International Residential Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings is hereby added.
R201.5 Interpretations of definitions.
For purposes of interpretation of the definitions of Building, Existing in Section R202, the phrase “a legal building permit” shall be interpreted to mean one for which a certificate of occupancy has been issued.
