16.300.100 Building Code - Incorporation

16.300.113.3

Section 113.3 of the International Building Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

113.3 Member qualifications. The Code Board of Appeals shall consist of members who are qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction and who are not employees of the jurisdiction or elected officials of the jurisdiction. Not more than two members shall be from the same profession or occupation. Examples of qualifying professions include, but are not limited to:

Architect
2.

Home Builder
3.

Commercial Builder or Superintendent of Construction
4.

Engineer
5.

Electrician
6.

Plumbing Contractor
7.

Fire Protection Engineer
8.

Mechanical Contractor

Notwithstanding the above, one member may be a citizen residing within the City who does not have the above required technical qualifications.
