5.51 Oil & Gas

5.51.030 Definitions.

The following terms as used in this chapter shall, unless the context clearly indicates otherwise, have the respective meanings herein set forth. These definitions supplement those contained in Section 1.04.010.

To the extent that these definitions may conflict with those contained in 1.04.010, these definitions shall control:

    Circulating Mud Pit- The working pit from which the drilling muds are continuously recirculated during the drilling process into and from the drilling hole for the purpose of flushing there from the drill bit cuttings and as a lubricant to reduce torque, drag, heat, friction, and a differential sticking during the drilling process.
